How does the MNI data get compiled?

Unlike any other data provider in this niche, the foundation of MNI’s company profile data continues to be built on real human research, fortified by MNI’s own proprietary technologies for data verification and quality control. This continues throughout the year, perpetually. Rest assured, MNI does not scrape the web, and thereby avoids all the outdated, inaccurate, unreliable data other companies sell.

Through a team of more than 80 incredibly dedicated data researchers, MNI methodically scours hundreds of sources (on-and-offline) to pinpoint industrial businesses, large and small. Each company is contacted multiple times annually to ensure its information remains up-to-date and complete. In total, more than two million pieces of mail are sent, one million phone calls are placed, and three million emails go out to engage with the listed companies and ensure the highest level of accuracy and completeness are built into the published profile.

Some data providers inflate their numbers by including agents, reps, copy shops, and companies no longer in business. Others sell lists that are incomplete and miss many smaller companies. How do I pay for my subscription?

Billing is handled by MNI in Evanston, IL.  MNI requires just a 1-time upfront payment (billed in USD) for a 12-month IndustrySelect® subscription, either via a secure payment form with real-time credit card authentication or by way of a pro-forma invoice which can be paid by electronic transfer or by cheque.

What kinds of contact names are included?

Every contact name published by MNI is accompanied by the person’s exact Job Title, as specified during our research process.  IndustrySelect® lets you search by any Job Title, but the easiest and quickest way to narrow your search and find the executive contacts you need can often be by Job FUNCTION.

How much software do I need to install?

No software installation is required.  Once you’ve registered your own account, just log into IndustrySelect.com using any PC, Mac, tablet, or smartphone to access the search engine software and your database subscriptions.

Is there a mobile app?

There’s no software installation required. Users with a mobile device can log in at the specialized site Mobile. IndustrySelect.com to take full advantage of their device’s features like geo-positioning when using IndustrySelect® on the go.

Does IndustrySelect® include executive emails?

YES.  Across the board, Executive Emails are available for approximately 60-65% of the company profiles with more than 440,000 executive emails available nationwide.  The Plus and Premium versions of IndustrySelect® are your direct connection to executive emails.

As a Canadian company, can I send unsolicited emails to executives in the U.S.?

YES.   Canada’s CASL restrictions are applicable to Canadian recipients of electronic messages.  The 440,000 executive emails available in IndustrySelect® are U.S.-based and subject to CAN-SPAM regulations, which is less stringent than CASL but still requires you follow proper protocol and guidelines to be fully compliant.
