Manufacturing momentum surged again in July as companies across biotech, food processing, automotive, advanced materials, and infrastructure announced major investments in the United States. From injectable drug production in Indiana to EV seating systems in Illinois and protein repurposing in Kentucky, the latest round of announcements signals continued growth, innovation, and job creation. Collectively, these projects represent over a billion dollars in capital investment and thousands of new jobs across the country.

Westrock Coffee Unveils Advanced Production Campus in Arkansas
Westrock Coffee Company has officially opened a 525,000-square-foot production and fulfillment facility in Conway, Arkansas. Approximately 130,000 square feet is dedicated to single-serve coffee manufacturing, with the remaining space used for logistics. The expansion is part of Westrock’s broader growth strategy and will contribute to an expected 900 jobs in Conway.

“The single-serve category is evolving rapidly, and we are scaling our operations to meet our customers’ needs,” said Will Ford, Chief Operating Officer at Westrock Coffee. “This expansive new facility significantly enhances our capabilities in the U.S. market, and we are excited about the opportunities it will create for our existing and potential customers, employees, and the local community here in central Arkansas.”

Mars Launches $240M Nature’s Bakery Plant in Utah
Mars, Inc. has opened a 339,000-square-foot bakery for its Nature’s Bakery brand in Salt Lake City. Designed with automation and sustainability in mind, the LEED Silver-certified facility is capable of producing more than 1 billion snack bars per year and will add over 230 jobs in the region.

“The biggest step we can take to meet our growth goals is making more of the snacks people love, and this new baking facility helps us do exactly that,” said Steve Gardiner, CEO of Nature’s Bakery. “It gives us the space to grow today and tomorrow… while letting us bake even more efficiently and with even higher quality.”

Chomps Cuts Ribbon on Missouri Production Facility
Chomps has officially opened its new 300,000-square-foot facility in Mexico, Missouri, in partnership with Western Smokehouse Partners. The facility will support the production of Chomps’ popular meat stick line and create 250 full-time jobs as the company works toward doubling capacity by 2026.

“This new facility is a testament to our rapid growth and unwavering commitment to providing consumers with high quality meat snacks,” said Elizabeth Carter, President and COO of Chomps.

Pilgrim’s Begins Work on $400M Georgia Foods Facility
Pilgrim’s is investing $400 million into a new multi-phase prepared foods plant in LaFayette, Georgia. At full capacity, the facility will employ over 630 workers and produce fully cooked chicken products for the retail and foodservice markets under the Pilgrim’s, Just Bare, and Gold Kist brands.

“Expanding the Pilgrim’s footprint in Georgia highlights our ongoing commitment to the region and our company’s long term growth strategy,” said Fabio Sandri, CEO of Pilgrim’s.

Bison Centralizes Production in Expanded Nebraska Facility
Bison, Inc. has consolidated its design, fabrication, and packaging into one 140,000-square-foot manufacturing space in Lincoln, Nebraska. The move improves efficiency across its basketball, volleyball, and new baseball and softball product lines.

“After more than 40 years in the industry, Bison is again poised for growth and we have the most efficient production processes in place to stabilize prices in spite of market pressure on raw material costs,” said Nick Cusick, Founder and CEO.

Great Day Improvements Creating 995 Jobs with Ohio Expansion
Great Day Improvements is scaling operations in both northeastern and southwestern Ohio with plans to hire 995 new full-time employees across four cities. A new 247,000-square-foot plant in Walton Hills will increase capacity and streamline operations.

“With Ohio roots, we want to be here for growth and opportunity,” said Drew Weinfurtner, CEO. “It’s our partnerships with Ohio and local communities making that a reality.”

WinChoice Expands Arkansas Factory, Updates Brand
WinChoice is investing $3 million to expand its Mountain Pine, Arkansas facility. The project will add 50+ full-time jobs and unite its two brands—WinChoice USA and Morfe Windows—under a single name.

“This expansion is more than just an investment in our facility—it’s an investment in people and in our community,” said Morgan Wiles, Co-Founder of WinChoice.

MetroWall Breaks Ground on New NY Headquarters
MetroWall is constructing a new headquarters and manufacturing plant in Congers, New York. The upcoming facility will double its production capacity and include a new R&D lab for architectural glass wall innovation.

“Breaking ground on this new facility is more than a construction milestone—it’s a reflection of the trust our clients place in us,” said Jared Scott, CEO.

Picanova Relocates U.S. Fulfillment to Ohio
Picanova is opening a new 246-job production and fulfillment center in Obetz, Ohio. The move relocates operations from Arizona and is expected to generate $13 million in annual payroll.

“With this strategic move, we’re not only strengthening our U.S. presence, but also creating high-quality jobs and significantly improving delivery speed and service,” said Philipp Mühlbauer, CEO of The Customization Group.

Generac Opens New Flagship Plant in Wisconsin
Generac has opened a 345,000-square-foot generator production facility in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The plant began operations in March 2025 and is expected to employ 320 by year-end.

Simtra BioPharma Secures 65-Acre Site in Indiana
Simtra BioPharma Solutions has purchased 65 acres next to its Bloomington facility to support construction of its first U.S.-based commercial-scale injectable drug manufacturing lines.

Tevogen Bio Signs Lease on New Cell Therapy Facility in New Jersey
Tevogen Bio has secured a 17,428-square-foot GMP-compliant facility in Warren, NJ, to support production of cell therapies while it develops a custom manufacturing site.

“This facility has the potential to efficiently scale our manufacturing… and will serve as a bridge as we enter the early stages of developing our own custom-built manufacturing facility,” said Dr. Ryan Saadi, CEO.

Meridian Biotech Builds Protein Repurposing Plant in Kentucky
Meridian Biotech is investing $40 million in a Frankfort, KY facility to convert distillery waste into alternative proteins for aquaculture and fertilizer. The plant will create 35 high-wage jobs.

“By reimagining distillery stillage as a resource rather than a byproduct, we’re pioneering new pathways in biotechnology,” said Brandon Corace, President.

Alltech to Open Aquaculture R&D Center in Kentucky
Alltech is building a $12 million aquatic feed research center in Versailles, KY, to accelerate innovation in sustainable fish nutrition.

  1. Hofmann Packaging Breaks Ground on Kentucky Facility
    E. Hofmann Packaging is investing $43 million in a rigid plastic packaging plant in Madisonville, KY. The facility will create 164 jobs and is expected to open in 2026.

Nitto Opens Advanced Manufacturing Site in Frankfort, KY
Nitto Inc. has launched a new facility in Franklin County, KY, employing 220 people in the production of high-performance materials for tech and automotive applications.

Alta Alloys Relocates U.S. Headquarters to Kentucky
Alta Alloys is establishing its headquarters and manufacturing operations in Simpson County, KY, with a $20 million investment creating 45 jobs.

Automotive

Adient Launches EV Seating Facility in Illinois
Adient has opened a new $8 million seat assembly plant in Normal, IL, next to Rivian’s EV factory. The plant will build seats for Rivian’s upcoming R2 SUV and create at least 75 jobs.

“Adient is pleased to leverage our global expertise in automotive seating to become part of the Normal community,” said Jim Conklin, Executive VP, Americas.

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems Expands in Kentucky
Sumitomo Electric is investing $17 million to expand its Franklin, KY plant, with plans to hire 76 new workers in manufacturing, warehousing, and engineering.

“We have been producing connectors and terminals in Kentucky since 1988,” said Division Manager John Saylors. “It’s very exciting to continue to grow and expand in South Central Kentucky.”

FabLogix Invests $9.8M in New South Carolina Facility
FabLogix, a Kelso Industries company, is developing a $9.8 million, 150,000-square-foot facility in Duncan, SC, to expand fabrication capacity and add 150 jobs.
